Ever wondered what it is like entering a place completely different and new to you in your own city ?Well i experienced something of that sort when i visited FABBRICA DELLA,PIZZA place in 8A, Allenby Park, Elgin road which is very close to the well known Forum Mall . I happened to come here by an invite sourced by Abhishek of First Idea Pr. And i must thank him for that abundantly as it was a reverie moment for me to be here.

Fabbrica Della is a very fresh and new pizza place for those not so ordinary pizzas but the wood fire baked ones in Neapolitan style at its best. I love the fact that the place not only has specialities of food and beverages but has well organised it’s complete interior and exterior feel and look . Its so nice and elegantly set up right divided in two floors where one can choose to sit in a single sitting shared on a long table attached to the wall end and see the open kitchen flaming up the magic of culinary delicacies or you can choose to walk up the stairs and grab your table which is spread out in the floor above. I like the facade huge glass feature at the entrance and the decor lights that are in form of some crystal balls like shape of a lamp hanging on to the ceiling roof . Nice vintage like wood structures of windows compliment the art factor . A lot of thinking and planning seemed to be the reason for such a beautiful art work around. The roof above you have bulbs like lights and artificial leaves hanging making nature very close to you in a plastic form.

Before moving to the food and other set of knowledge about this place i would like to mention that on my personal level nothing went wrong at the table we sat but i expected to see a better service around the other tables where customers were sitting and as far in my notice it seemed the servers were a bit untrained constantly making mistakes around . I am very observant for every little thing and if it does not happen to me doesn’t mean that it can never happen with me in future if i walk in here,so this is one thing i would like to see an improvement here apart from that everything seemed a complete bliss.

Lets move to the food and beverage now –

So there was one Mocktail served at first which was FAB LIMONATA that had an excellent punch of Strawberry,orange and basil leaves . Turned out to be super good on taste and the presentation had a a slice of sweet lime floating up the rim,totally recommended. Two Italian Milkshakes had arrived too in the drinks which were CLASSIC TIRAMISU and COOKIES&CREAM. The Tiramisu was good but loved the Cookies&Cream a bit more as it had the delightful flavour i was looking for of assorted cookies topped with whipped cream and making it a tempting sight to see them placed at the table.

I usually like mentioning the desserts a bit at the end but i can’t resist to have a change here . And the three desserts that came up were AFFOGGATO,BUDINO PIZZA AL NUTELLA. The Affoggato was a combination of a scoop of vanilla ice cream top shot with a portion of Expresso Coffee which tasted fine.The Budino was in a shape of a pudding like food having three layers filled with Vanilla cream,Caramel and Dark chocolate. last of the desserts the Pizza Al Nutella seriously had a good top stuffing of Nutella on a medium size Pizza base.On taste it seemed very plain of the base but i still liked it being a different eat .

So as said the Desserts were had at the end so the missing part which was the starters and main course to have a look and know about it on due note here it is –

Two different starters were there ,one was CALAMARI FRITTO MISTO and POLLO PIADINA.The Calamari Fritto Misto was served along with a garlic sauce in a small mini rickshaw like structure serving bowl. The Pollo Piadina was a grilled chicken made with ruculo,caramelised onions,marinated tomatoes in a creamy pesto wrap based bread. I just enjoyed this one to the core and had an amazing taste and was presented in a small trolley like bowl. After the starters again two main course dishes came PARMESAN CREAMA WITH BACON  and POLLO PICCANTE. I must admit it that after a very long time i had such a well made Spaghetti which had a nice flavour of Parmesan cream with Bacon .It’s recommended to have this one as its main aspect highlights food eating at its best. Lastly to say about the Neapolitan style pizza Pollo Piccante ,which was made with fresh pesto,mozzarella,roast chicken,jalapenos,caramelized onions and feta. The ingredients blended so perfectly with such a soft,fluffy base that got me surprised on seeing it first. Pizzas definitely made is going to get you elevated here and it’s sure a treat to indulge.

All the food and drinks did impress a lot and so did the total ambiance here. Fabbrica Della giving Kolkata a change of eating choices is a sure gift of joy to one and all. If its Pizzas it has to be the original Neapolitan stuff and this place does excel in it.
